Quasi-Productive

  • Reading time:1 mins read

Most organizations wouldn’t bat an eye at 10 people sitting in a room for an hour-long, quasi-productive meeting twice a week.

I wonder, what would reactions be if those same employees instead spent an hour reading a book related (or not) to their work twice a week?

I’d be willing to bet that at least some higher-up in the org chart would see that as slacking off. I’d also be willing to bet that the time spent reading was a far better use of the employee’s time.

We don’t make enough time for deep learning in the professional world. Full stop.
